Chicken Recipe – Hawaiian Huli Huli Grill Chicken Wings

The chicken recipe of Hawaiian Huli Huli Grill Chicken Wings is not only sticky but sweet and smoky to taste. Its tangy while comes the flavor from the easy recipe of the Hawaiian marinade. It continues grilling until tender that makes it great taste. This is great for a barbeque when they’re for a sport day. Moreover, they become tastier while grilling the wings over indirect heat. So, the flavor of this recipe is simply awesome that must make for your family!

Ingredients

  • chicken wings – 3 pounds, which is about 1.4 kg
  • pineapple juice – 1 cup, which is unsweetened about 240ml
  • soy sauce – 1/2 cup that is equivalent to 120ml
  • light brown sugar – 1/2 cup (100g) which is lightly package
  • homemade chicken stock – 1/4 cup that is equivalent to 2 ounces, or low-sodium store-bought broth
  • piece ginger root – 1-inch that is equivalent to 1/4 ounce or 7g
  • garlic – 2 medium cloves, which is minced
  • sriracha chili sauce – 1 teaspoon that is equivalent to 5ml
  • Thinly sliced scallions – which is white and light green parts only, for garnish
  • Grilled pineapple wedges – which is for serving (optional)

 

Directions

  1. Take a large zipper-lock freezing bag while packing the chicken wings and then set them aside.
  2. Take a medium-size bowl and whisk together soy sauce, pineapple juice, ginger, garlic, chicken stock, brown sugar, and sriracha. Now, pour half amount of sauce in the chicken bag, seal it and toss to Cove with remaining sauce in a bowl along with a plastic wrap and then refrigerate it. The bag that needs to let it for 1 hour to 8 hours for marinade.
  3. Light your 1 chimney while full of charcoal. When all of your charcoal is lit and covered with gray ash, pour out to make coals evenly. Otherwise, set your burners half of gas grill that makes high heat. Set the cooking grate; cover your grill which needs to preheat for about 5 minutes. Clean the grilling grate while oiling.
  4. Take out the wings from marinade while allowing excess to drip off and discard marinade. Put the wings on the grill’s cooler side that covering with vents partially open. And cook, occasionally brushing with reserved sauce and turning wings until they are well cooked, or brown. It may need up to 30 minutes that complete cooking of the wings. Move the wings on the grill’s hot side and continue cooking until they’re brown about 3 minutes. If you brush sauce, it becomes nice glazy.
